This is a good start. If everyone could help to boycott eggs that are coming from mistreated hens, the commercial industry would get the message that how chickens are treated does really matter and they aren't just stupid chickens.

Another way to help reduce battery cage egg farming is for cities that have ordinances against having chickens to lift those restrictions on hens. The suburbs are certainly no place for a rooster. Neighbors are likely to get very upset, but hens seem to be quiet enough and allowing more people to have chickens to supply eggs for their family could plummet the battery cage egg farming industry. Something I'd like to see.

I find it absolutely repulsive how people disrespect food animals to the point of making them sick, injured and diseased. The way I see it...a sick animal produces sick food.

Also, check out the ASPCA on line, they have all kinds of things going on to vote for animal rights. I just voted yes to local congressmen to please make it humane when slaughtering animals for food. It's unbelievable what goes on in those places.

WOW...I like it. I really never have liked BK but they are headed in the right direction and I won't be so critical of them now. 2% isn't much but it's a baby step in the right direction.

Somebody mentioned neighborhood chickens. Well, we have a bit over the allowed amount of chickens...he hee I wonder if somebody ever does complain, if I could just pay them off with some nice fresh homegrown eggs.
