Burmese Green Peafowl

Well if they have a pair and then it must be what they told you, they have some very pretty birds. You should invite them to the site, we can always use more Pea brains here.lol

Zazouse and Arbor,
I contacted Norm of MTF and this is what he sent me:

"My spicifers came from Lewis Eckerd in North Carolina."

I hope that might help if you guys know him...

DMFarm, your spicifers are beautiful! I am assuming they are out of imported parents, is that correct? As of right now, the boys have less barring but they can't quite compare to your birds. Also, do you by any chance have any other pictures of your spicifers including the peahens?

Thanks

barring on the back is quite suspect. They may be a form of Imperator but they don't look to me like Spicifer. The Tonkin imperator superficially resembles a hybrid, but tends not to have barring, spicifer doesn't either...

FrankYLegend, thanks for response but could you please explain that more in depth since I don't quite know what those subspecies are.

I looked through older posts and saw that Resolution once said that Norm Johnson had good stock, and that is who I purchased them from...

You could e-mail Res and see if he answers you he don't get on here very much kinda pops in and out, he could probably help you sense he studies about them some.
