I've been clearing some shrub and smaller trees in area to build my coop and run. Problem is area is fully infested with redbugs. I was wantibg to leave the old leaf litter for my chickens to dig through but with all the redbugs not sure now. Should I burn it put out sevens dust or another insect treatment. Dont want to poison my birds but dont want them being eaten alive like I have been

It's time to clean out your entire coop and run. Remove all the bedding inside and out. Give the coop a good scrub or spray out. Get a bottle (or two if you need it) of poultry dust from your local feed store, they cost about $8 where I live. You need to dust all of your chickens/poultry with it and put it all over in your coop and on the infested parts your run. Add a fresh layer of bedding and dust if you find more bugs in a few weeks.
