burned eggshells

Yup. I've done it several times. Chickens eat it without issue. I bake them, smash the egg shells up to roughly 1/4" to 1/8" size pieces, then put them in the oyster shell bin.

I've also fed the peelings from boiled eggs (smashed as needed, but still having bits of egg white attached) - they scarf those up quickly. I've fed those straight from peeling the eggs and after they sat in the fridge for a few days and got dried up some. Chickens didn't care.

I don't think it should be a problem. Mine got a little brown and they ate them up just fine

They're fine, I prefer charring mine slightly as they shatter quite nicely that way.

thanks for all your answers! I've been doing my Xmas baking and had about two dozen broken egg shells that I needed to bake. Just forgot about them Glad to know I don't have to waste them. Doing another two dozen tonight.
