Can my chickens and ducks eat these leaves? I will be cutting my burning bush back here in the next couple of day and thought I might give the leaves to our chickens and ducks and maybe the quail, but wasn't sure they can have them or not. Anyone know??

I found this, http://www.dummies.com/how-to/content/plants-that-are-poisonous-to-chickens.html
but don't see anything about burning bushes or "Euonymus alatus, known variously as winged spindle, winged euonymus or burning bush, is a species of flowering plant in the family Celastraceae, native to central and northern China, Japan, and Korea."

It is the same variety, but it doesn't say anything about chickens or ducks.

I guess I will need to call our vet. We have periwinkle and we were told by our vet to get rid of that for sure, that is when we had a goat because they will eat anything, but she said the chickens may or may not try to eat it, best to get rid of it.

We have a burning bush in our backyard and the hens leave it alone. I suppose it isn't terribly delicious, they mostly just sit under it to sleep in the shade. It is one of the few plants back there that they won't eat.

Now if I can only convince my one pullet that coneflowers are not for eating, that would be great.
