I would think it would be a tough sell for JUST the scalding and plucking. People who want to pay for that would want the whole processing job done, I'd think. Also, the going rate for a complete processing job is about $2/bird, so you'd probably be competing with that as well. That being said, if you do it, you should MAKE the plucker and scalder. I have a Whizbang plucker, and am currently making the Whizbang scalder, and they are AWESOME, at about 1/3 of the cost.

id charge by the hourday or even weekend depending on the persons need. if ya get popular with it you could do it there for them and have a rental. its hard to find a good butcher. even if you dont do the evisceration but i will say those who weviscerate would probably scald and pluck thier own birds.
