My husband’s the all knowing chicken guy around our house… (well, maybe not ALL knowing - more than me anyway)
But he’s left for a week of fishing with friends – and he’s left me the chickens (and the quails and the pheasants and the rabbits, and the eggs that should hatch tomorrow, but I digress.)
So, he’s gone and one of my chickens has gone broody. We’re just about to hatch a whole bunch of eggs from the incubator, and we don’t really want more baby chicks. I tried stealing her eggs from her yesterday, but she’s back in the brooding box again today.
Is there a trick if you don’t want a broody bird?

Yes there are tricks, get her out of there and into a wire cage off the ground.
Put this cage in the coolest spot that you can find.
3 days should do it.
