Butcher a couple at 6.5 weeks?

I got the BBQ special from McMurray 6.5 weeks ago. My folks are coming for the weekend and I would like to have some fresh chicken. Would it be ok to butcher a couple at 6.5 weeks?

If they're Cornish X's maybe, but a normal chicken - That's awfully early!!

Yep you should get a nice size bird.

They are Cornish X Rocks and Cornish Rocks. I assume the bigger ones are the CRX.

Yes, you can process at 6.5 weeks. Weve raised several flocks of Cornish X for meat, I hate the messy stinky fatballs, lol but my GF likes them for the meat....Anyway, our last batch this spring was pretty big at just over 5 weeks, so we processed them and they were plenty meaty.

The pic on their site made my mouth water! I don't know the difference, though (between the crosses). I'd be interested in finding out.
