Butchering Advice

My cornish X are 4 weeks old. Do you think some are big and old enough to butcher as Cornish game hens. I do not have a scale so I am just trying to figure this out. Any help would be great!

I've never butchered at 4 weeks but I've looked at my birds and looked at butcherd game hens in immediate comparison and decided my 4 week old birds would butcher bigger than the store bought hens in my hand.

Just compare the size to the what is at the store. If they are about the same size then go for it. To weigh my birds I just bought a $20 digital fish scale from Walmart. You can tie their legs together and hang them to weigh or put them in a bucket and then subtract the weight of the bucket. If you have a good bathroom scale (those are banned in my house) you can use one of those.

Mine are 3.5 weeks, and I couldn't imagine butchering already...pics please...I know, I know...I am always asking you to post pics...just like to compare
