Im sorry, I didnt catch that you were not in country.... If you can get "Soy bean meal" and use it as a additive it would work well to up your protein. but it must be processed soy meal and not just the raw crushed soy bean. Soy beans in their raw natural state have a enzyme that is difficult for fowl to digest.... The processing, cooking if you will, breaks down the enzyme allowing it to be more readily used by the bird. use sparingly thou, soy bean meal in the US runs 48% to 50 % protein. I would start with a 4 part broiler feed to one part soy bean meal mix and see how they handle it.... Quail dont like dust so I would guess they will only eat the bigger pieces. This will all be a trial and error deal. Just because you put it in their feed, dont mean they'll eat it! If you cant find soy bean meal, I know a woman that used bone meal in her feed as a added protein source. I dont have records of her ratios.... Good luck with your birds....
