Butt Injury

One of my girls has a big sore right next to her vent. Clear stuff comes out of her vent, and I have checked for a bad egg stuck in there and have felt nothing. The sore is huge, and I suspect it is from the heat and humidity up here as she has never had a clean butt area, since she was a chick. I have her isolated right now with vaseline on the wound. Somebody suggested goldbond medicated powder to help dry it up. Any suggestions? She is eating but she is none too happy right now. She is in a crate with a clean pan underneath her right now. Any suggestions? Should I do the goldbond thing or use another powder?

Could you post a picture? Is it open or just a swelling? Is it below or beside the vent?
