Uhmmmm....are you sure that is a hen? She has the coloring of a male and a ring around her neck....does she quack like a hen? She looks just like a Apricot Silver Drake...

sounds like you have a he/she duck....can't remember what they call that but it has happened to us a few times. Wont be good for breeding, but it would make a nice pet. There are faint eye stripes so it could still be a butter, sometimes it is hard to tell. If it has distinct eyes stripes while in eclipse it is a butter. Here is a picture of our orange billed butterscotch. Is there a sex feather?

This duck is ever changing-she seems to morph a lot.
This is a mystery duck for me and whatever sex/color it is, it'll have a home with me.
