6?? Did you lose one?
LOL no...but you know Buttons! They run around too fast to get them all in one picture! When I was unloading the hatcher, 4 of them escaped before I could get them in the brooder.....Here I am, crawling around on the floor, under furniture, etc., finding baby chicks....The thing is, they are SO tiny, I almost can't tell when I pick one up!!!
That challenge mastered, I got them in the brooder and all toasty and set up with teeny tiny crumbles. Then my mom comes rushing out...."It's 102 in the brooder!!! You have to check!!!" Well, one of the thermometers I had lying in the bottom. And, 6 of the chicks were lying ON it! (body temperature 102!) So, the brooder temp was fine.....LOL
Still 7, and 5 maybes waiting in the hatcher. I feel awesomely blessed to have 7! More would be like frosting on the FROSTING on the cake!
