I vacuum around mine, they seem to like it (don't freak out and 'hehehe' the entire time). I think qlofm literally vacuums hers

I used to have a pair of finches that would do this.

I used to have a English Budgie that I would just open his door and go around the cage with the crevice attachment. He'd complain, but I think it was because he was mad I took out his stash of snacks.

Then when I'd do around the cage, (carpet) he'd jump in his water dish and splash around and take a bath. Maybe he figured if the house was clean he had to be.

The pair I want to put the button with were being very friendly today and will probably lay an egg in the next few days!

I can hardly wait! Miss my birds and am so glad to be getting back into them!

Next month is a big show/expo/sale, and we will be looking for Buttons! Finches, doves, and a mate for our Pacific Parottlet.

OH gosh! Poor babies...

My budgie was way too fat to get sucked up..

It's good to know we wont scare them half to death though. I was a little worried about that with them being ground birds.

Do you think 2 pairs could go in a cage that is 18" wide and 30" long, if hatched together and given enough hiding spaces and maybe food and water on each side? ? I'm getting eggs any day from qlofm. That's the measurement of the parakeets cage I want to put them in.

Probably not without fighting. You could always use a piece of cardboard or something to divide the cage in half.

No, I don't want to divide it. That would take away from what the parakeets have for space.

I have plenty of cages and space, so I will just go with one pair in there.
I was just curious if 2 pair could.

That's O.K.
Yes, a pair of English budgies, but the cage is 3 feet tall so plenty of room for everyone.

The parakeets are going to start a family any day!
