button quail chick with HUGE neck blister! HELP!!

If it is a blister...

...don't know if this would work or not, you could try putting a wet tea bag on the area for a few minutes, the tannin (sp?) helps clear up blisters on your hands...don't know like I said if it would work in this case.

Don't think it would hurt to try!

I have seen this on a couple of my chicks, and it just went away. It was just after they hatched, and one had it on the back of its neck, and the other on the side. they were fine in a couple of days! Mine were late hatchers, so I don't know if that had anytrhing to do with it or not.

No I just left them alone, and they were fine! I have only seen it on yellow chicks too!?! I was freaked out at first, but everything was ok!

perhaps it's got something to do with the genes then? i know white cats have a tendency to be deaf... maybe, it's just a thought. i just checked on them and she's snuggled up with the black/white chick like she usually is. seems she has a best friend already. if i pick one of the up the other will cry, it's too cute.

I don't know, maybe we can't tell on the darker chicks! hmmmm interesting! I'm glad she is resting and doing fine! I never had any trouble out of mine! She sure is a cutie!!

i have seen this on a late hatch lavender ameraucana, and a late hatch buff silkie. looks like i'm two years late though

One of my chicks have the same thing and it has feathers thow all the other chicks are fine it has stunted her growth
