Button Quail died leaving her friend on her own. What do I do? Is it best to leave her on her own, or does she need a friend?

@Ravenlover puts a heat lamp over the nest area I believe, and it draws in the birds to the nest with warmth. I think buttons have a good chance of being broody if their conditions of comfort and safety are met.
I do use a heat lamp to help encourage her to brood since her cage is open air and we run the ac since summer is upon us lol

And she did hatch out 4 by her self 5 were fertile in her nest i had to finish incubating the 5th eince it wasnt hers and she was vusy with the babies after the first day they hatched and started following her, it hatched too and i tossed in some from the incubator she ended up raising 7 for me and accepted them, i sold them all but one thats with her now still

Here pics its a little bare at the moment and a lil dirty i was in the middle of rearranging and cleaning when i saw this

Still need to make the functional cage look pretty

Thank you so much for this I’ll definitely give it a try. Did she accept the ones from the incubator easily? I’m not sure how it works but I was thinking if she doesn’t go broody I could try see how she reacts to chicks from an incubator? I know someone with an aviary who keeps buttons and would be happy to take them

When i introduced them they were dry enough to take out one was barely dried and not fluffed but she was sitting on another that just hatched so it was easy to slip it under her, but i think they have to be a bit broody to accept them for buttons, supposedly the last 3 days of hatching they talk to each other the parent and child so they learn there voices, i had 1or2 who she was iffy on for a seccond till two other babies rsn over and cuddled it then she was like oh ok ya thats mine too
