I went to work this morning and came home to find my brooder light off, my 5 day old button quail had been in this state for i assume 6 hours, i opened the lid fearfully to find 4 huddled in a corner and 5 appeared lifeless, in a state of torpor, a temporary hibernation that birds and certain mammals can enter, i tried to fix the light but the birds where becoming weaker so i swiftly moved them all into my incubator, after 5 minutes all appeared dead, after an hour i returned to find them all standing. after 2 hours walking around and squeeky, except one who remained lifeless they are all in their brooder now fine, however i need to ask the question, could their be any future hypothermic problems? thank you.
