The good news is that this a.m. I put him into the same pen with her after a week of only being separated by a screen, and no one is afraid of each other any longer (aside from her being afraid of me that is, lol) ... so at least they can coexist without anyone freaking out now

.. maybe they'll fall in love eventually

heh .. He's not calling for me as much which is a good sign that he's preoccupied. - They would make such pretty little chickies, but he is always gonna be my little man.
Do you have pics or vids of your current little girl ? .. It is so worth the time invested to have such a loveable little critter. Mine likes to get right up under my chin or crawl thru my hair and I
love it.. or how he closes his beady little eyes when I give him a cheek rub.
I once had a yellow cockatiel I tamed from the pet store who I named "Motzarella". He would sit on the shower curtain while I showered and then get on my finger and peck at the shower spray ... later he would get the blow drier which he also loved. He would fly out of his cage to come perch on my cereal bowl and eat out of it when I had breakfast.
Both 'Motza' and my current boy [sweetpea] answered me if I talk in a certain voice from across the room. I'm utterly in love with my boy (can you tell I have no children of my own?) haaa!
