Button Quail questions

I just joined. I have 6 button quail and about 40 in an incubator. They will go on lockdown tomorrow. I have the brooder all set up, but I'm concerned about the humidity, what should it be Some sites say 65% some say it doesn't matter.

65% is a good humidity for button eggs at lockdown. They can probably go as high as 70%, but I wouldn't go higher than that, or lower than 60%.

In the brooder? It doesn't matter in the brooder. Temperature is much more important.

Oh great! That sounds great. I could hardly wait till they hatch, this is my first time incubating eggs. I guess we'll see how many hatch.

Make sure they have a waterer that they won't get into. They'll drown or get wet and die from chill.

Pictures? Button chicks are tiny, so you want to be particularly careful. You may want to add pebbles to the waterer if they can fit into it.

This is the waterer it came with, it's pretty small

That looks big enough for them to drown in. Button chicks are about the size of the first joint of your thumb if you have small hands. If you can fit a finger in there, they can fit into it.
