Button Quail trade.

Hey, just wondering what color Buttons you have to trade (or if you have anything else). I've been told (by people on here

) that I have cinnamon, silver, and darth vader hens, as well as normal and slate males. Plus they throw a bunch of other colors that I don't know how to name. Here's a group shot of mine:

Hi Kelly,

I'm just learning what I have. I sent a few pictures over to Garrie at ZebraFinch. com and he identified them for me. Here's the list he sent back. On the 011, he said it is a silver red-breasted male but wondered about his white head. Right now some feathers have been pulled out of his head by the other quail and he though it might be an injury that caused the white head, but his head has always been white. He requested another picture of him from the side. I'm waiting to hear back from him about that one.
.
007 Cinnamon female (and has pearl in ancestry I can tell by her
feathers on the rump)

008 Silver Red Breasted female

009 Cinnamon hen and normal wild type male

006 Red Breasted male

004 Cinnamon Blue face male

010 regular Blue face male

011 Silver Red Breasted Male, (not sure why head is white but
perhaps? injury on top of head has something do do with it, do you
think?)

015 Cinn. Blue face male

So far, those are the colors he's identified for me.

Hey there, I would be interested in trading eggs, once I get my last order shipped out. My buttons had quit laying for a few weeks, but are finally starting back up.

I have 2 different groups. Group 1 has 4 males, 1 slate, 1 silver, 1 ivory, and 1 either redbreast or wild. (think it's a wild). Females in this group are slate or silver (2) and cinnamon pearl (1).

Group 2 has 5 males: 1 wild, 1 redbreast, 2 cinnamon blueface, and 1 df blueface. Females in this group are 2 cinnamon blueface and 1 redbreasted pearl (aka darth vader).

I'm not sure on which ones, but I know there are some of the silver/slate/ivory that are mixed with either cinnamon or redbreasted, and the cinnamon hen I was told looked like a cinnamon pearl. They came from a mixed color flock, so it's really hard to say. I have hatched mostly cinnamon bluefaces from these, with a few redbreasted/redbreasted pearls, whites, silvers, and slates. I don't think there have been any normal wild looking ones hatch, nor has their been any plain old bluefaces. I'll be seperating them into smaller groups soon, and I'll need to get a few more girlies

BTW, my silver male is df as well....

Double factor, that means that they carry two genes for their color, instead of the usual one. Kind of like splash v. blue in chickens from my understanding.

So, also from my understanding, I should theoretically get some df silvers or df blueface chicks, since I have other silver/blueface hens. Like if the df blueface male bred with the cinnamon blueface female, there should be 50/50 chance of blueface or cinnamon blueface. Same thing with the silvers. Like I said though, this is how I understand it, I could be totally wrong! Sadly my df silver hen died shortly after I put them outside, I guess it was too much for her

There are AK-Button-Mama and Mrs. AK-Bird-Brain, basically the same thing. Mine came from Mrs. AK-Bird-Brain, but AK-Button-Mama now has the parents of mine. But Mrs. AK-Bird-Brain has some of their (original flock's) other babies that she sells eggs from now, so they are all related
