button vs. coturnix as pets

Buttons~~
Pros: People friendly, small, easy to handle, don't take much expense to care for, don't eat very much, independent-- Pesonal choice..
Cons: somewhat smelly-- less so than coturnix, but all birds smell! --relatively short lifespan, will try to run away-- i learned that the hard way

--and are semi-independent-- Personal choice, I like my quail to love and depend on me and greet me when I walk by.. which some do,but you have to spend LOOOOOOTS of time bonding.. not a bad thing, just takes a while... (looks like more, but i just added more notes!

)

Cots~~
Proseople friendly-- once again..and thats why i had a hard time choosing too! but after raising both, I'm now raising them at the same time! and BION, they CAN live together!!! (there was an overlap in my last clutch and it worked fine... untill my retard dad opened the cage and they flew away.. of freakin' course...

) -- easy to handle.
Cons: REALLY SMELLY!!! DX Hight mantinence, and you might have ti clip their wings, just to be sure. (same goes for guttons, but you have to be EXTREEMLY careful when clipping button wings.)



****I prefer Buttons... but this is an unbiast comment, so ill shut my face now!!

Bottoms seem to be far more aggressive than corturix in my opinion.

I raise both. Neither like to be handled but buttons are much more boinky. Coturnix quail, being larger, are also easier to hold and not as fragile as buttons. On the other hand, buttons are more feed and space efficient.

Eeeeh.. I perfer coturnix; i have a few jumbo browns... Speaking of which, im contemplating getting a buff orpington roo to protect my quail, maybe a few hens as well... im not sure. But im REALLY mad because a rat made off with one of my babies- well, they aren't babies anymore, but i hatched them so i consider them as such... (im so much like a broody hen sometimes, or so my friends say..) it was one of my two males, and i can't exactly afford to loose any more quail scince one of my females recently passed from being egg-bound... so does anybody have any ideas on what i should do???? PLEASE!

haha, i know, ive changed my opinion since that first post.... I rather coturnix now..
