Buttons and Coturnix Q

Hi! Is it physically and genetically possible for a Button male to mate and fertilize a Coturnix female?
I ask because I have a single Coturnix female in a Button quail pen and she's just started laying... and I was curious.

If they can breed, wont the babies be sterile...

This is interesting.. Maybe some one should hatch some out if possible.. And see if the babies are fertile..

I have no clue about qail but I have seen pictures of Phickens. Phickens are half chicken half pheasant.

yes they can, it's been done before however almost always will need to be artifically inseminated

Sam and I have talked about crossing them hoping they'd be fertile
