New house!!!

There are two of these hutch huts, plus two hidey houses made of wood. Of course they have not ventured up to the upper levels to check out the other ones, but they think the one in this pic is good for standing on!

This is the blue face. He is the only one that was acting like a crazy bird! I guess the new digs and the new birds was a bit much for him!

In this one he had freaked and landed on the 2nd level. He looked a bit perplexed on how he got where he was!

This is the prettiest one imo. I'm not sure what color she is, I'm fairly certain it is a female!

Some of the 'splashed' ones, not sure what color they are? Also one that I think is a red breasted hen. I know it's a hen, just not sure of the red breasted part!

So, all in all, I have 6 silvers, I think 3 males and 3 females. There are 3 'wild' looking males, but I think one is either a darth vader or a red breasted. I have one red breasted hen, 4 of the 'splashed' ones, and the one real pretty light brown one. Thanks for looking!!

That last picture, that's a blue faced splash i'd assume *gorgeous* your spazzy blue faced boy what i could see of him on his face that blue is beautiful!

Awesome cage Shelley! im glad you got it so fast yay!

A blue faced splash huh? I have 4 that look just like it. 2 are definitely males, they have red on their bellies near their tooshes!!

Oh, and because everyone knows that I hatched 19 of the little boogers, and had one already, I will explain where the other ones are! I gave 4 of them to my friend Meri. She has the only wild colored female that hatched, and a silver pair (pretty sure they are one male and one female) and she has a male splash as well. So that adds up to 20!

Oh, and for reference, here are some baby pics, for those of you who didn't see/don't remember!!

Not really sure which one the spotted one turned out to be? Maybe the red breast?

Dark red one is what the splashed ones looked like as babies.

I actually sold all of my button quail to ak_button_mama on Wednesday. I miss them, but I don't miss them... they were a lot of work with the really cold temps (currently -28F, and we haven't been above -10F since the day after Christmas...) But, our youngest boy saw all the button eggs that I hadn't boiled up yet and asked if he could incubate them for a 4H project.

I can't say no to that!! So there are 39 eggs in the incubator.

But I'm not keeping them to breed. I told him he could keep a pair, but any extras that hatched would be sold.

Yep, they are almost 6 weeks old already!! There was one boy 'hehehe'ing at me yesterday, and there is one or two more that are trying. They haven't tried out their darth vader voices yet, only the older blue face does that, but I'm sure it will be soon! I am hoping I have at least as many females as males, but the silvers are kind of hard to tell? Judging by the baby pics, and looking at them now, it seems I have 2 different types of silvers? Some of them have yellow 'spikey' feathers on their backs, and some are just silver. Oh well, I guess I'll find out soon enough!

The silver in the second photo from the bottom (in your first post) is a male. You may have a mix with the silvers, though... I had a white male in there with the silvers.
