Buy a vowel

Yes, that's correct. In most auction systems the person can set the start price and also their "reserve" price. I personally think you just need one or the other, but the option is there if people want to use it.

Nifty,

I tried putting a bid in for $17.76 and it wouldn't let me, but my bid for $17.75 went through.

Nifty, I wanted to bid 18.76- it said must enter a correct price. It did accept 18.75 though.

Is it only going to work on certain increments? And when one bids, is it always going to go back to page 1 of the thread?

As a long time ebay sniper,

, is there anyway to go up by 1 cent instead?

There will always be minimum bid increments so auctions don't just go penny by penny (that would be terrible). Right now the increment is at least $0.25, but you should be able to bid $0.33 if you want to.

I've got a note into my programmer to get his thoughts. Either:

A) The system needs to be adjusted to accept anything over the incremental price.
B) Messaging needs to be made more clear when a bid doesn't work. Like "You must bid in increments of $0.25"

Okay. It was 18.00 and I wanted to bid 18.76 and it was

. So I went to 18.75 and it was

. Snarky little thing, eh?

P.S. Should I win, do I get a choice of vowels?

Rob McLudlow had a farm

e i e i o

And on that farm he had a flock

e i e i o

With a cluck-cluck here and a bawk-bawk there

Here a cluck, there a bawk

Everywhere a cluck-bawk

e i e i o.
