This sale is for 12+ Extremely Rare SKYLINE POULTRY Euskal Oiloa (Marraduna Basque) fertile hatching eggs.Listing ending 3/25/12~11:59pm eastern time.
Euskal Oiloa are relatively new to North America. This breed has become one of my favorite breeds. Besides being excellent Layers of extra large eggs(220+ a Yr) they're superb foragers. Extremely hardy and vigorous with no fear to roam for their own food. This is a dual purpose breed with males weighing in at 8lbs and females weighing in at around 6.5 lbs. Eggs are a shiney tint of light brown. From my own experiences with this breed Its been nothing but amazing. Probably one of the smartest breeds I"ve had yet. This is NOT a dumb chicken! They hold confinement extremely well and free range even better. This is truely a homesteaders dream bird. This is a very friendly inquisitive bird that learns the routines of the yard quickly and likes to be first in line for treats and food.

Hello there, in your pictures I wondered if I saw a couple of White Basques? I recently bought some Basque juvies, and I have a pair of solid white ones. Wondered if you had seen this before? Thanks

Yes, I've gotten two myself. Keep them! We are working on a White version as well. Can you tell if they are male or female?

Yes, they are old enough to sex. I have a pair. They are a couple months old. It was odd as all the other ones look similar, but these two looked like White Leghorns.

Be sure not to get rid of them. Me and a couple others have gotten some and we plan on working with them to establish a White Marraduna.

In a couple of months when mine are laying maybe we can do some egg swapping in order to get some new blood in. Will the white Basque's offspring be white as well or will they be mixed colored? I was curious as I had been planning to separate them off from the others.

hi, I have some chicks that are grown now and I got them from greenfire farms. I got a pair of all whites and they are great looking Basques. but im selling them and wondered if someone could help me with that as I have regular colored basque but only this pair of whites. they are now a yr old and the hen lays great.
