I sure wish they can get that real light gold laced Basque back again. I did a lot of research on the breed and found a lot of information from Spain
that one is real rare color . I can't remember its name . it's actually named after the color of the stones in the area of the desert came from. is beautiful though, it was like a light lemon colored bird.

Sorry but I think you are confused about the Basque Country. There is not deserts ay all. The climate in the Basque Country is the same as in the United Kingdom, wet and rainy with, not deserts at all.

Sand Hill Preservation has Basques. I can't speak for their heat tolerance because it's pretty cool up here, but they are big solid birds, friendly and social, and decent layers.

Not as good as my Delawares, but they are egg-laying machines and few birds can keep up with them. They were good layers of large light brown eggs.
