Buyer grief, what would you do?

That WAS an odd statement....

The Flat Rate boxes aren't free, you have to pay the flat rate. That works if the shipment is heavy (books), but for something lighter, it's cheaper to use your own box and have the Priority stickers on it.

I lean toward "no, she gets nothing," but I'm usually less assertive than that.

I'm sorry you're in the mess of all this. It's a pain.

Since I work retail (will I ever stop complaining about that?) I get all sorts of sarcastic remarks about me. But I can't do anything about it.

I think you are being scammed. You clearly state that after it leaves your hands, you have no control. You shipped priority, and the eggs arrived in a timely manner. I think this person wants the eggs and their money too.

I've had eggs shipped to me twice. Once I had a great hatch rate, the second I had zero viability. I accepted both. Once the eggs leave the sellers, everything is in control of someone else. The PO scrambled my second set of eggs, I was disappointed, but fairly unsurprised.

I don't think you did anything wrong. You have absolutely no control over the weather. I would definitely ask for photos proving that they were frozen. Remember, you can right click a photo to check it's properties and see when it was taken. If they were indeed frozen and you feel you must done something, how about a compromise? Offer her a replacement shipment at a later date when the weather warms up.

True, but if they don't crack, you don't know if they are frozen or just cold.

spin them.

If the cold and the post office didn't kill them, I suppose spinning would!

its not your fault the eggs were frozen..shes the one that ordered them in winter time...
