Buying a house

We are looking at a house where they have raised chickens, ducks, and guinea. The animals will not be staying. We will start our own flock from baby chicks. What should I do to the property before raising our own chicks? I don’t know if they vaccinate their animals, but I would guess no. Thanks

Like coronavirus... Spray or disinfectant wipes. Take any left over poop away....

I'm not worried about inside the house. I'm worried about possible coccidiosis on the land and giving that to new chicks.

If coccidiosis is the main concern, either vaccinate for it, use medicated feed, or have Corid on hand to deal with it if it arises. Do not vaccinate AND use medicated feed, they'll cancel each other out.

Maybe a bleach mix with the coop? Run floors aren't really "cleanable" short of scraping out the existing soil down several inches, which isn't practical in most cases.

Yes bleach. Sure. If it aired out a few days or a week. Idk how long. Yes exactly scrape out existing soil. My boyfriend says 24 hours. The walls... The fence?

We're moving to a new house also. But no birds have been there for probably a year or half a year.
