I just got my first chicks at runnings and was wondering if anybody else has ever gotten there's there before, and if they were healthy and had a good experience with them. Oh and incase anybody hasn't heard of runnings it's basically a huge Tsc.:)

Make sure they have fresh food and water all the time with the correct ration and protein, phosphorus, and calcium amounts. Introduce fresh greens and grit at 3 weeks of age.

Thank you for replying! Ha I just change it to somthing different because nobody was, and I didn't know how to delete a thread!! :) but thanks again and will do!

I took home two EE chicks and one SLW chick two weeks ago. They are doing great! Our Runnings orders from Hoover's Hatchery so unfortunately there isn't much variety in their orders. Hoping to pick a few more EE at some point down the line . . .

Quick question. I'm getting Cornish Cross from Hoover this May, and I'm wondering if there was a high mortality rate.

I too bought some EE s I got 3 and 3 black Asterlopes. I plan to get 4 more chicks next week! They all sell out so quick at my Runnings since its newly opened this past summer. The lady I talked to there said they sold 300 one there first day!

We ordered our Cornish X chicks from Murray McMurray (not Runnings or Hoover's), but we haven't lost any. Ordered 20, they sent an extra and they are all alive and doing well. I think the problems come when they get older because they grow so quickly their body just can't keep up.

Yep, I've raised broilers before, but not for market. I'm in 4-H and Poultry Bowl, so I'm being careful with all of the necessities.
