Buying Coturnix Quail in South Mississippi

I'm looking to start raising Coturnix Quail.. Looking for a place local to buy chicks.

If not, any suggestions on buying them online?

I'm a beginner so what would the experts say on how many to start with?

If you aren't afraid to butcher them for the table, start with a whole lot. Otherwise 7 is a good number. 1 rooster and 6 hens. Fertility will be good and the rooster wont overbreed any of the girls. Craigslist locally is your best bet if you don't have an incubator even though a lot of the birds you see on there are sorry looking. If you have an incubator I would suggest ordering eggs from James Marie Farms as this is the highest quality stock out there.
