Hi Kathryn,Still waiting to hear back from my friend. If you decide to do the chick thing instead of older ones I am happy to lend you my "chick supplies" heat lamp, feeder, waterer etc. it really is a lot of fun and really not a lot of work. I am right on the ipswich/Hamilton line sonot far from you either if you need helpmight be worth re considering if you are wanting different breeds. I would think it might be hard to find multiple breeds about the same age in our area...just a thought...![]()
Thank you so much for all of your help...
I was at the Agway yesterday but didn't see Ashley. I got some helpful info from the lady in the store.
I did end up seeing a few ads on craigslist and i am waiting on some responses. I hope to hear from some. I think that i am going to try to get 2 Buff Orps, 2 Plymouth Rock and 2 RI Reds if i can only because from what i have read they are good egg-layers, good with kids and winter hearty... I am definitely open of other types I just don't know much about them.
Do you shop at the co-op? I have never been there and was wondering if its worth heading to this week to see what they might have?
I REALLY appreciate your offer to let me borrow your chick supplies, I would love to if i can not find pullets before summer is over.
