Anyway this is wishlist species to see. Scissor tailed flycatcher. Strangely while I was driving one day I saw a long tailed bird with some coral coloring so it must have been one because nothing looks like that in Wisconsin but of course that is impossible because they don’t live here either.)

Great drawing! It is totally possible to see a Scissor-tailed in Wisconsin! Several have been seen there, one just this past May.

True, but the chances of me seeing one out of the corner of my eye while driving instead of seeing another bird I mistook for one…
That said nothing looks like them.

I just got back from being away from home, so I can now take a picture of one of my drawings for #2 (I know, I’m only on #2 ).

Mandarin duck.

I drew this in December of 2021.

I am currently working on a few other drawings, but I’m going at a snails pace right now.

Sorta messed this up a lot (partly because my purple loving brain tried making the whole bird purple instead of just the back, lol. So I had to paint over in white. Coincidentally I messed up the purple starling I drew last year too (by giving it huge feet)

Frigatebirds are such an aesthetically appealing shape, so recognizable in silhouette.
I think this could be a good brand logo.

I decided to draw the bird part of this meme about the Greater Adjutant stork. I wasn’t totally able to capture the indescribable ugliness but I guess there is always room for improvement.
