I don't really like how these turned out. I feel like the quality of these drawings has diminished since the start of this challenge. I'm getting tired already and we're not even halfway through!

I was really looking forward to the weird beak! I love thrushes, btw.
The quality of my drawings is just swinging on a pendulum. I would agree with getting tired of it, though. The road to self-improvement and self-discipline is very tricky!

I’ve always loved fairy wrens. They only sometimes live in forests, though.

I'm way behind too - 5 days. I've been busy and just yesterday I couldn't do any drawing because a skunk sprayed on or near the house and the whole house smelled awful!!

Week two...

I decided to draw them from memory because I was curious how well I could do. I’ve done countless Buckeyes but 0 cardinals so the expressions and swaggers definitely reflect my confidence level. Then I checked my bird book and fixed the pattern on the cardinal’s face. Anyway.

I don’t know why I labeled them so haphazardly. The left one is a barn swallow, by the way. I think they are so pretty.

I was going to draw a passenger pigeon but though: I’ve drawn enough pigeons. Save that for the actual pigeon/dove day.
