Well that's a perfect reason to say we must have a 2017 calendar

I wish my ducks would do that. I have to lead the 13 of them into there own with a bucket of food.
When my pigeons get out, they hang out by the coop till I can get them in. I had three get out day before yesterday. They all stayed within 10 feet of their coop.

Awe, that has still have to be fun though. Sweet things just wanna stay out longer and play.

As to your pigeons sticking around when you have them outside the coop, did you have to train them to do that? Do they make little flight laps around the coop?

I think all pigeons have natural homing abilities, some just stronger than others. So mine just don't leave because they know where home and food and nest is. But I don't let them out on purpose. The three times a couple have gotten out we're all accidents.
