This is my first time I have seen this thread and also the first visit. I hand carve custom mantle grade duck decoy's would this qualify as art in your club, I would like to show some of them to y'all if so.

Overrun, I would certainly think hand-carved duck decoys would count as art. I'd love to see them! (not that i'm an authority on this board, but hey!

Ok here goes, I carved these examples in 1993, they were my 1st attempt at mantle grade decoy carvings, What do you think of thier quality??. I tried to paint them in the decoy mode and carve to the mantle grade standard. I hope you like them.

Those are really nice! I especially like the blue and white one. Do you display them as artwork or use them in hunting as decoys? I think they're too pretty to put outside, personally.
