BYC Art Club!!!!

OMG, that's soo god, and on a digital art program! What program did you use?

Freeware - GIMP - you can get it here.

I am a beginner with the program... there are capabilities it has that would speed up the artistic process, yet I find it to be the old school process itself to be wonderfully cathartic.

I really should play with the software more, but I tend to want to get right to the painting. LOL!

dito. I could not figure it out either :p I use photoshop, and I never read the manual for it. GIMP.. I need one and don't have one :p

Here is a piece I am toying with in photoshop

not done yet.

I'm busy with a charcoal sketch of my grandfathers' face. It's prep-work for our new assignment in art class at school. I chose to draw an old persons face so I thought I'd try my grandfather first.
I'ts not finished yet but I doubt I will finish it since I quite a lot more prep-work before I can start my final. The white lines are not actually white. My cameras flash made the pencil lines appear white. I'm thinking of also doing a rough painting of his (or someone else) face with a lot of different colours. That should be interesting and fun to do
