BYC Banner - Available For Your Chickenstock!

Sorry for the delay. We're in the middle of changing the process of reserving the banner. We've run into a lot of cases where they go missing, aren't shipped on time, etc. so we've been brainstorming some new ideas and hope to have some new info posted ASAP.

Thanks for your patience!

This is Msbear's (Erin) event and in talking with her, I said I would help with the BYC side of it. Below in bold type is the information from her original post about the event and this is the link to the posting on BYC - https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=551283&p=1
The
event will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2011 from 9am-3pm Rain or Shine!

Hey all, I guess it's about that time to start advertising again. We had a great turnout for the first on this past Spring and I anticipate more traffic this time around though, please keep in mind, not many folks will be wanting to purchase chicks to winter over... Most folks will be hunting for started pullets and layers and, of course, show birds. Tom Roebuck, master breeder/exhibitor will be judging the Show Clinic. If you are interested in entering your birds so that you will learn more about showing, please contact Majestic Lane Poultry for an entry form. And, we are hunting for a bluegrass band that will want to join in on the fun.. so, if any of you West Virginians out there know of anyone, pm me.

We will have a moon bounce for the kids as well as the pony rides, concession stand (with much more help) and lots of fellow bird lovers to chit and chat with

That would be great for shows/stocks/sales. For our Spring show I bought 80+ bumper stickers. I had a sign that said $.25 each and placed piggy banks out. I did it all on the honor system. Several folks put in extra change to help cover the shipping. There was too much extra so I made a big bunch of brownies with the extra and gave them out at the next show a few weeks later.

The BYC banner was proudly displayed at the Drew County Fair and Livestock Show this week on the livestock tent. Here is a picture of our 4-H Poultry Club with the certificates they won in the Livestock Show. We had around 100 birds entered in the show this year.

As chairperson of the Drew County Fair Poultry Show, I believe the total count was 200 entries of poultry and 13 rabbit. The largest poultry show ever held in our county! Julie made certificates for all and we had a wonderful awards ceramony Saturday evening. Could not have done it without several key volunteers, including Julie!

If I dig REAL DEEP, I can find a picture of the "FIRST CHICKENSTOCK" Banner from July 22, 2003!

Can anyone tell us who the host was and the location of that event????

I can!
