I’ll have to remember this. :love

I’ve been trying to be better about everything, not just the med thing, and I’m getting there, but I’m just so damn impulsive 😭

My brain takes too long to kick on :lau

The med thing is especially bad though because I’m gonna be killing my organs. I haven’t taken any in a little while though, been trying not to unless I really really need it, but tonight was one of those “don’t really need it but impulsively took it anyway” things 😭

Especially downing 3 at a time on an empty stomach cannot be good.
Never take medicine "on impulse." Taking medicine when you don't need to or taking too much can cause serious health problems, or even death.
Do not take medicine unless it is required. Ever.

Yeah, I know and I’ve been trying to work on this. I don’t like take it just for fun or anything crazy like that but I still probably take it more than I should. I convince myself I need it even if the headache isn’t that bad. I just take it before I change my mind usually.

OH, GOSH, I COULD HUG YOU RIGHT NOW! YES!
:hugs
Thanks. :hugs

I really need to work on it because I don’t want to end up with permanent organ damage.

Also I’ve wasted a lot of money over the years buying OTC shit because I think I need it and don’t or forget we already have some or whatever.

What animals are you fencing it or are you just fencing in your property?

I am drawing up a blueprint for our brooder. Pretty soon I gotta do up some blueprints for our chicken coop for my Jersey Giants. They are growing fast. They are 5 weeks now, so I need to put them in their coop soon.

I’m charging my Fitbit before doing a 15 min walk around the front yard
Turkey hens, mostly. I sold all but my pet cow and her little heifer calf. I might get some dairy sheep, but don't tell my hubby just yet...

@R2elk Yes, I hated it. The cattle were super expensive to feed last winter. DH really wanted me to sell them and he was right. We had a big snow early in October and didn't see bare ground again until the first faker thaw this "spring." We don't have enough land to hay, not enough tractor to handle the haying implements if we did. 😕 So... that's the way it goes. Sometimes I have been known to make a mistake.

Kelsey. People take aspirin for serious health conditions now, not for headache relief. There are a lot of medical types who feel that aspirin should never have been an OTC drug.

It you stop staring at a screen and sitting around--if you do what you say you will do and start walking on a regular basis, tend your chickens, build cages for your quail, take care of your fishpond, walk your dog in the cool early morning and at dusk, refrain from eating manufactured faux food, go to bed at ten and get up with the sun, you will most likely find you don't need the headache meds more than occasionally.

If, after having made the healthy lifestyle changes you've talked about so much, and settling into your new routine, you do need h/a meds, I suggest ibuprophen (any brand) taken according to package directions. Tylenol seems ineffective to me, and aspirin is a loose cannon, best used only with your doctor's guidance.

Yeah, I’ve heard even using some of that stuff once or twice is bad. Excedrin is probably even worse because it’s two in one. Acetaminophen and aspirin plus of course the caffeine.

And yeah, that stuff might help some but it is not the only cause and will not completely solve it.

I have been doing that stuff lately. I haven’t just been talking about it. I barely sit around at all anymore. I’m moving tons. I’ve been walking almost every single day for two weeks straight. Sometimes twice a day. Plus just moving around in general throughout the day adding up to a lot of steps. The Fitbit has been helping with that.

Yes, I need to work on sleep and diet still because those are the two biggest ones I think and I haven’t been doing well in those areas but the other stuff I have been. It is not because I just sit around and do nothing all day.

Also, even when I was doing that, I still wouldn’t get them that often so I know it’s not just from that. Especially since I used to frequently get them from over exercising and/or dehydrating. So it’s not all just diet, sleep, and sitting.

I’ve gotten them off and on for years no matter what my lifestyle is like at the time, good or bad, and I have multiple family members on both sides that also have a history of them. I’m pretty sure it’s at least partly genetic.

It’s also gotten worse the last few and years and I’m not really sure why. All I know it’s off and on and there’s a ton of different causes.

I should note though that lately it has been better and I’ve barely been getting them. I believe the supplements I started taking last fall have helped tremendously. Things that used to cause them now don’t. It’s been a huge relief.

It’s just that when I do get them, I’m still used to taking something. I’m working on it though. I dumped the Excedrin and several other meds.

Tylenol and Advil stopped working for me a long time ago which is why I switched to Excedrin so now I just won’t take anything if I get one and try to deal with it another way. Probably for the best. I read sometimes medication overuse can actually cause them so that may be my case and maybe if I just don’t take anything for a while that might help significantly. It takes a while for the body to recover even after getting it out of the system so it might get worse first. But hopefully within a month or two maybe I’ll be back to normal.

Especially if I try to stick to sleep and diet plans too. I do think that will help. Just not sure it’s the only cause. But maybe I never gave it a fair shot. Idk. We’ll see.

Oh and also I don’t have a dog to walk or else I would be outside all day and probably most of the night even just training, playing, walking, etc. I wish.
