BYC Café

@aart, any word yet?
:fl :fl :fl
No. It could be days.
The town nearer where she lives, ~25 miles north of Asheville, also flooded, as did more than a few others in NC.
I don't expect to hear from her soon, I'm sure cell coverage has been compromised as there are widespread power outages.

Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready.

It's going to be a hard wait to hear back from your daughter @aart. I've been through catastrophic flooding twice. Everything can go out.

I found this on an Asheville news report:

(WLOS) — LIVE UPDATES

(8:30 P.M.) - Verizon provides update on outages to News 13.

A spokesperson for Verizon told News 13 via email that for sites that are currently not in service, site assessments and repairs will start when road conditions improve and it is safe to do so.

Verizon did not provide an estimated timeline forsite assessments and repairs.

Do you know if she uses Verizon? This would explain a lot.

Yes, it is. Just gonna have to wait until I hear what damage she and/or her properties sustained. I can't read any more about it, too distressing.

My brothers place(mid hudson valley) got nailed with 4' of water years ago with Irene.

I do not know. I'd assume most circuits are down.

Thinking of you today, Tonya. :hugs Hopefully good memories will counterbalance the sadness.
Me too!
I'm hoping to go back in time a little and remember what it was like when we were all working together. That's when I met him. It'll be nice to talk to others who also knew him so we can all share stories. I think that this is going to be very therapeutic but also very emotional.
Shit. I've already started crying.
