Fire in the stove cool in the house this morning.

That one hen that is still laying, the easy to break broody, she was in a nest tonight at lockup. Put her on the roost and hope to hell she was just late laying today.

I left a hen in the nest box tonight. I found 2 eggs on the boards this morning. One survived. One did not. If she was in the box, she was probably laying and I left her there.

I brought a warm up!

Hubby is thinking about all the stuff he has to do before he goes to Colorado for a friend's wedding. We're giving them cash (young newlyweds can always use that!), but he wants to print one of his B&W photos taken on our property and frame it as a present. Since our friend is from the area, I think that's a nice idea. We all worked together at the photo lab, so there's some significance there too.

If she was in the box, she was probably laying and I left her there.

She had her egg under her. Shell was a bit rough(not usual).

Yeah, she was in a nest this morning, but bolted outside when I opened the access door. She was back and headed to the nests 10-15 minutes later. SMH. She'll likely get crated tonight.
