I have three girls laying. The d'Uccle, Jody, one of the Wellies and one of Fabios daughters. I'd put my money on Savannah. Both she and Jody molted as soon as they were off the nest after hatching or trying to so they were back in full feather by the time the rest of the flock started.
I need to worm the flock but I'm waiting for three girls to get a little further into growing out their feathers. I want to do a 5 day stretch of fenbendazole to really clean them out but keep reading that it can affect feather growth. I have yet to find a white paper study validating this claim.
Colby is this close to getting his sorry horny hiney thrown in the clink for multiple violations. Three days ago, he pissed someone off enough that she took a chunk of wattle near his neck and he looked like someone slit his throat.
I saw the heron again yesterday. The fish won't come off the pond bottom (also due to the water temp dropping) so I think it's going to give up soon.
