BYC Café

Good morning and thanks for the hot coffee! I shoveled snow yesterday.
The breeze has rearranged the snow back onto where I shoveled, a little bit, not curse worthy.
Enjoy the day Café and stay safe!
FYI:
In case you are running late...
It is the time change today so now you are Really Late!

Goooood Morning,
I got hot milk..that is powder milk, not fresh milk....I am all good now, all dry and cleaned up after soaked in the heavy rain while doing my morning chicken work.
It was light rain, but once I was in the garden it became pouring rain. I spend nearly 2 hours in the garden walking back and forth between 3 chicken runs, and when it was all done, the rain stopped as soon as I walked inside the house. I think mother nature has it in for me, the feeling is mutual.🤣

I don't like wearing raincoat so I do not wear it. My chickens hate this rain.

Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready.

The bog filled up and the waterfall started up again just before I went to bed last night. The water was much less murky this morning. I'll do another large partial water change this afternoon and add some flocculant and hope that will clear it up much more before we start to get chilly weather again.

Good morning Cafè. Coffee is ready.

I've shifted my schedule to have this last glorious day off to putter outside. I need to get the maternity ward converted into a breeding pen. I've decided that I'm going to put Adrian in there with any older hen she gets along with.

After 2 weeks, I'll put Wyatt-the-A-hole (that's his full name) in with them for 3 days then take him back out for 10 days then back in for 2, then sell him. I should be able to collect a dozen fertile eggs from Adrian that should be 100% dominant whites with as little stress to her as possible.

Wyatt really needs to be moved on as he is low man on the totem pole and is often all alone. Then again, his A-holery may have something to do with it.
