Mornin' y'all!

Sunny and a lot cooler today - we just missed the freezing mark last night. Highs in the 50's are a lot more normal for January, but the warms sure were nice. Thought for a bit that Margie's winds had been shipped here yesterday. BB2K decided to work with Latte a bit, and that horse's brain was gone with the wind.

Nobody got hurt, but it was a bit . . . interesting.

MW, if your cupcakes are half as fun as your cookies, the kids'll love 'em!

Morning all.

Building anything in the winter was probably not the best idea....but I live in New Mexico, so winter's aren't usually that bad. However, we've had a nice cold streak. I think someone is trying to tell me that I'm a little crazy.

Anyways, the girls will love it much better than the current set up they have. There isn't any proper roosting space or enough room to even keep the food and water under cover in the little red one they've been in for almost a year now. And you know....the things we do for breakfast, I mean chickens.

Oh, and whoever started the hot water....much appreciated!

Afternoon, just wanted to show you my new Sebrights and Cochin chicks think the three black ones are roos oh well legacy from Henry.

Do I have to utube a video before I can post have an amazing of masses of bats flying at dusk just thought you might be interested.










oh and here is Roo getting very cross with the camera and Beast watching as I feed his dinner..

So it looks like the cold wind is blowing in winter for everyone. Though it's at the freezing mark here, it's still above average. The wind's out today though, it blows fierce across the fields and makes it feel ten times as cold. The night time winds always make me think the house is going to blow over, but it's been standing for 125 years so I think we're ok!

I, um, made another mug brownie

Whatever! Better then store bought right? I figure that's a good rule, if I really want something sweet I have to be motivated enough to make it...too bad those mug brownies are so easy
