BYC Café

Good Morning, Café

Coffee and Tea water are ready to go.
It has been warm all night and will get up to about 80°F today.
Everything is budding/blooming around here. No frost forecast for the next 7 days.
Critter is right, we are in late March already!
I wonder who got our February?
Off to do more poop scooping.
Have a good weekend everybody!

I did, I got your February!

The snow finally fizzled out yesterday, I think we got around 12"-14". Today the sun is trying to make a comeback.

Happy Saturday everyone!

@Mtn Margie Ok, that icy road stuff would put me right over the edge! I was almost in a massive pile up while in H.S. going up to the white mountains, NH to go skiing with friends. We were traveling along and then all of a sudden cars were spinning and sliding and crashing into each other. Black ice so scary. Our driver never touched the breaks and just maneuvered between all the cars and we managed to avoid an accident but it was a miracle. No idea how we were the only ones to avoid hitting something. No wrestling match is worth that. Happy you all are ok.

@scottcaddy Looks like you have some nice land there and a real big compost pile

I was reading in your tag line that you have only a couple acres and all those animals. The zoning laws must be way more lax where you live. Up here, in my town which is "suburban rural" you have to have at minimum 5 acres for any large animal like cow or horse. I was very surprised to see I could actually have chickens and even goats on my 1 acre. My neighbors are pretty close even though we are surrounded by about 100 acres of protected land. I have 9 acres directly behind me protected and on the other side of the neighborhood there is more than 100 acres. Awesome place to hike as there is also a pretty lake. Anyway, cool that they allow that on small acreage. We live in a kind of newer neighborhood where people come home enter their garages and some people never even step outside. It boggles my mind how some people never even step out for fresh air. Even the kids stay inside....weird

My kids tromped all over the wood growing up, building forts, catching salamanders, going fishing and canoeing....my 18 son still goes fishing at least a few times a week. One of my pet peeves is kids just sitting indoors but I step off my rant now....

Wow! I got off track :)

If you managed to get this far in this ridiculous post, DH and I have been working furiously on the coop and made tons of progress but my phone wouldnt take pictures. Ill try to rectify that today and take some. Its been strangely warm so must work while the weather is good!

Thanks for the coffee and have a wonderful Saturday all!

Scott I caught the truck race last night...... Crazy finish. Those guys really play rough at the end.
Yes, it was a wild ending for sure! Tonight's race will be just as crazy also, I'm thinking maybe even worse.

Quote: Well, it is good to know where that sucker got off to!
Enjoy it while you can, I kinda miss it's weather and hope that it don't decide to come back for a visit now.

Our place is so far out that we can't even get cable TV, have to do satellite TV.
Internet is landline phone DSL.
Not many zoning laws here about critters, and the law tells us to just shoot any dog/'coon/'posum/whatever is bothering us and don't bother them with it.
I have the same 'rant' so don't be sorry!
Scott

February made it here as well. -1 last night, currently 10, very sunny but gusts up to about 40mph. I think today is one of those "I wish I could stay inside" days! LOL!
Coffee! Tea! Whateveryougot!
