I don't know what speed ours has worked itself up to yet but it's certainly howling out there.

Somebody PLEASE TURN THE WIND OFF already. Monday we had storms and gusts up to 72 mph. But it must been blowing in a good direction - no damage. Today I've been running around to retrieve the garbage cans. . I was going to tie them together but figure that would knock both of them down.

The remnants of a wooden fence - okay just a couple of gate posts , are shaking and swaying. I never noticed them do that before. I finally got brave enough to get the mail (3pm) of course it was just junk. We have a very drafty house but, now it feels like a wind tunnel. It's actually a nice temp. outside if you get a chance to notice. Plus which the wind is just too noisy.

Went to Sanibel Island in the mid 80's- gorgeous, stayed as a very dumpy motel but it was right on the beach. Paradise , until I realized the waves never stopped , I could hear them in my sleep. It was like the wind now - can't blot it out. Still I got some gorgeous sea shells, and walked 4 hours every morning. I knew I'd never get back, so wanted to absorb all the Sanibel-ness I could take home with me.
