Yeah, i have been resting for a couple of slightly rainy days. You're starting another coop? Do you EVER slow down?
We have been hit hard by smoke since last week. Today is much better for us but the wind is causing more problems with the fires in sonoma, Napa and Solano countiesBeen feeling "off" and funky this week. There's a lot of smoke in the air locally from brush fires but that usually doesn't affect me.
Thanks for the coffee! I stopped off at the store to get new half and half.Good morning cafe
The coffee pot is ready and the tea water boiling, come and get it!
Hope all those not feeling well start feeling better soon![]()
Stay safe. Hopefully Mother Nature will be merciful! We have been hit hard by smoke since last week. Today is much better for us but the wind is causing more problems with the fires in sonoma, Napa and Solano counties
That sounds like me most says, even though there were no events to trigger it.Yeah, i have been resting for a couple of slightly rainy days.
I started from zero structures here. Built a brooder, a guinea tractor, a chicken coop. Now the guineas need a bigger structure because the chickens are outgrowing theirs. The builders are supposed to build my goat shed but are slow getting started.
I am retired. When i was in Florida after Dads death and my Dear Aunts death and my moms dementia... caring for her and fixing up her house to get it ready to sell , then moving back to our Florida house i fell into a deep depression. I sat in my rocking chair and watched tv. All day. I read books until 2 am and slept until 2 pm. Repeat.
Sorry for the long monologue but just explaining why i need to keep busy. Threw out that ugly gold fabric rocker recliner. Best for me to be busy.

I've always loved the idea of woodworking. I grew up in a totally white collar household so learning how to do anything for myself (except the basics of course, no servants or anything like that) was totally frowned upon. My sister called me the other day and said "are you sure you want to live like that?" And then said "ok in the most disgusted condescending tone I've ever heard. I could have sworn I was talking to my mother.Sorry dear, depression is no fun. Been fighting it since the kids were small.
I actually love to build things. Grandpa was a carpenter. I taught myself to use a circular saw when i was 12. Built bird houses. Built a hutch for the wild bunnies i hand raised. In my blood i guess.
Stay safe. Hopefully Mother Nature will be merciful!
that there will be better containment of the fires soon!
