Snow will happen here every couple of years. I have not seen it stick on the roads though. We have to have the exact and rare conditions for snow--end of a storm, wind turns to a north wind is what has to happen.

We do get hail though. Does that count?

But...It did hail so much once that I saw cars slide off of I-5 south of Redding. It was awesome to see! I almost thought I was living in a different place!

I bet they did slide...get enough hail and it would be like driving on a road of BB's.

Californians are terrible drivers in the snow, ice or etc. No experience with it and they panic!
