BYC Café

Last summer I bought a 4x5 pound pack of south american green beans from Sweet Marias. One of the single origin beans is: Brazil Fazenda Alta Vista. The description is:

City+ to Vienna: Pecan ice cream, dark caramel, bittersweet cocoa hazelnut, leathery top note in the finish. Good for espresso

I like it fine as brewed coffee. It does make a great espresso too
Have you tried pairing it with any of those foods? It will totally enhance the coffee.
Have you ever bought a coffee and say a blueberry muffin somewhere and thought that was the worst coffee and muffin you ever had? Chances are the coffee and the muffin were both fine but they just didn't go well together. Asian coffees and fruit tend not to work well together.

That is a good idea!

Here we get fruity african coffees. We do not see too many Asian

I've always heard it referred to as a dumb bump

I thought only Irish Setters had those:lau

Found this forum when I Googled that haha

Have you had a vet check him out. It sounds like more than just a bump - I believe it is called the occiput bone - not sure, haven't shown or had dogs in ages. If it is getting worse, he definitely needs to be seen

Steroids are serious stuff and should only be used by vet's order and instructions. You can't just start and stop, there is a weaning off process.

Sorry for any confusion I might have caused!

Yes, he was seen, which is where I got the info about there being muscles up there, never knew it ha anyway, we took him in I think July for his annual checkup and shots (so not specifically for that) and the vet was actually the one that commented about his bump. Or actually, maybe we took him when he got stung by a new and wasn't really healing, not sure. But either way, they could possibly go together? I think he said. But anyway, he gave us eye drops and steroids and stuff and he seemed so perky and energetic on the steroids and was getting up better and everything we refilled it. But we were supposed to take him back in 2 weeks and admittedly didn't but we might take him back again soon because his eye is goopy/infected again (it was when he got stung). The vet at the time said it could be some sort of muscle myopathy or something, I had never heard of it and he hadn't had many cases and was gonna research, which was why we were gonna go back.

Anyway, from my own Googling, the closest thing I came to that was masticatory muscle myositis. But I'm not sure if that's what he has or not because it seems to commonly affect the jaws but he doesn't have had problems yet, though the vet did warn of it. We thought it was pretty serious at the time but from my Googling it says it can be treated/cured with like 6 months of high steroid doses? Even once they get the jaw stuff. Or there were also a lot of herbal/homeopathic remedies so idk.

But of course it probably still IS serious but a better outlook than euthanasia like I first thought.

But I think he might also be getting some immune thing too with the eye infections so maybe it is more serious :/

As for the steroids I meant I would take him to the vet and get more or consult with him. I don't have leftover lying around but he seemed to do well so thought I might get more. Sorry for the confusion and poor wording.

But yes we have talked to the vet but he probably needs to go back
