BYC Café

Thanks NFC, i found the chicken panels in Canada on one of our trips up there. It is hard to find chicken themed prints.

Do you ever chat with other quilters on the Hobbies forum? Seems @speckledhen has found some in the past...she's an awesome quilter. Can't think of the names of some of the others I've come across reading posts from in the past, but you could find them easily enough on that forum. Maybe they get those fabrics online :idunno

I think i have a lifetime supply of fabric but it is always fun to look at more.
Hubby asked what i wanted for Christmas, i told him a greenhouse! Of course he is thinking pvc and i am thinking cattle panels. Always thinking different!

@Mtn Margie , so when do they arrive. By the way, the baseball player has decided that he wants to wrestle and is on the JV team at his school. I'm not sure how I feel about that. A shoulder injury like his brother's will end the baseball playing. :idunno
Yes, but maybe the cross-training will help out the shoulder as well...
all we can do is hope for the best for our kiddos, no matter what sport they decide to play.

Cap the Jo-Ann Fabric stores seem to have several chicken print fabrics when I have been in there. They probably have alot more online. Wish I could sew but with my track record I don't want to be near anything sharp.

Pot holders, made on kids' looms ,used to be my specialty but, my arthritis doesn't allow me to do them anymore. Friends & relatives seem to be thrilled about that.

Our nearest fabric store is Hobby Lobby and they have limited selection. The nearest Joann fabrics is a 90 minute drive one way!
So sorry about your arthritis, DD. If my hands give out i don't know what i would do!
Today i am building a shelf in the garage to put my metal garbage cans under and it will be a good spot to load buckets with feed. Most of the pieces are cut and the paint is drying.

The Jo Ann stores also sell online. SCG uses them. Now and then they have special low shipping rates or no fee with certain size orders.
DD, did anyone ever tell you that you are a great enabler?
I would really rather go to a store because i like to feel the fabric to check its weight. And shopping online at a fabric store is painfully slow. But thanks for letting me know, i have looked online.

Why thank you, I do my best. I know what you mean about touching. When I go through any store looking for clothes or bedding, etc. I have to touch. If I don't like the feel I won't buy it no matter what the bargain price. I do think women pay more attention to tactile feedback.
