Looks delicious!
Thanks NFC, looks good! I have to eat and run, have to take kitty to the vet.
Aw hope she's okay
Morning! Very cold, 5F. I am going to need lots of hot coffee and about half of that breakfast. Yesterday's horse trims went well but he had an apprentice with him and so, of course, it took longer because of the drawing on the horse's hooves to show her where to trim and it was 18 plus breezy. Makes this 5 seem not so bad.
Stay warm!
One of my kitties is already at the vet. Our 9-year-old "matriarch," Oreo, has had a dysfunctional tail for years (we suspect nerve damage). Well, now she has started chewing the end off it, so it's gonna get "bobbed." She went in yesterday, they'll do surgery today. She's my daughter's cat; a Character with a capital "C." I have faith in the vet, but she's not in the best of shape, so I'm a bit anxious.
Awww poor kitty
Thanks for the brekkie NFC, though I'm checking in at lunch time today.
Wind is actually manageable today, so I'll be getting a little bit done outside. Yesterday the wind was crazy, and tomorrow is supposed to be bad too.
I never used to really pay attention to wind forecasts. Now they mean everything to me! I don't know if it's windy where I live compared to where I moved from, or just the open fields, maybe a bit of both. It's a lovely place, but that wind can really ruin an otherwise fine day![]()
Yeah wind sucks
Thanks! I did have waffles this morning but the eggs and sausage look great!
I would love waffles
Anxious too, my cat has flat chest so breathing issues. I love him SO much.
Aw.
Oreo had a rough start. A family in our neighborhood found a litter of kittens in the woods; they managed to rehome most of them, but the daughter wanted to keep Oreo. Unfortunately, they had a couple of other pets (a dog and a cat, as I recall), and Oreo's rambunctious personality didn't make for harmony in the home. There were a lot of other issues in that home, too, and a few months later, the family moved. The mother decided that they could keep the two older pets, but not Oreo, and asked me if I would take her. I said, "yes." When my daughter's friend was sent over here with Oreo, she was told, "if they don't take her, dump her in the woods, or something, but do not bring her back here." A few days later, mother and daughter were over here, and the mother inquired in a rather casual way how things were working with Oreo. I told her, "oh, not 100%, of course, but not bad." Her eyes followed Oreo as she trotted out of the room, and she remarked, "God, I hate that cat."
That mother sounds horrible

I think Oreo was lucky to escape that other family, I'm sure he's in much, much better hands with you.
I agree but I do feel bad for the daughter stuck with them
